Brandon J. Gibson is a very active and diverse performer in the East Tennessee area. As a stage actor in addition to various independent productions he has performed roles with the Clarence Brown Theater, Tennessee Stage Company, Tennessee Valley Players, the WordPlayers, and the Carpetbag Theater. A classically trained dramatic bass baritone as well he has performed for City of Knoxville holiday events and with a number of arts organizations, churches, and other solo artists of various disciplines on projects ranging from operas, poetry readings, and dance performances; to hip hop and metal albums. Organizations include: Marble City Opera, Knoxville Opera, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (Concertmaster Series), Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, Circle Modern Dance, East TN Concert Band, and the Oak Ridge Community Band. As a Voice Actor he has narrated documentaries for East TN PBS, and for the “Unity Ride” series of documentaries and as Master of Ceremonies in addition to weddings he has served as emcee for the Old City Oktoberfest in downtown Knoxville, BLANKfest and Second Bell music festivals as well as charity events for BreastStrokes Knoxville and the Tiger Lily Theater. In addition to his endeavors as a performer he also currently serves as the Managing Director for Marble City Opera, a chamber opera company based out of Knoxville, TN that specializes in new works and site specific performances.
